About Exam

MathMavens-2022 is a national level talent search examination for Indian schools’ kids based on CBSE / ICSE / State board curriculum solely in English. It is a one-of-a-kind academic diagnostic and assessment test that evaluates participants' MATHEMATICS comprehension and capability.

Students taking the test can assess their understanding of the basics as well as their ability to solve a variety of questions of diverse difficulty levels.

The exam contains conceptual, multiple-choice, single-choice, and fill in the blanks objective questions to evaluate how well the student comprehended the curriculum's underlying SKILLS and CONCEPTS.

This exam is a one paper examination, open to all the students of classes 5 to 12. The question paper will be comprising questions from Mathematics.

Each student will be provided with two (2) practice tests attempts. Attempt allowed practice tests and assess your preparation. Practice tests will be available only before the exam date.

Participate from the comfort of your home. It would help if you had a laptop/desktop /tablet/smartphone with a webcam and live internet connection.
6.
Result

Note: A minimum of 60% marks in the Online examination is required to get a scholarship. If none of the student scores 60% marks, then the scholarship will not be awarded to any student. In case of any confusion, the decision of the Examination Committee will be final & binding.

Ranking Criteria

In case two or more students score the same number of marks, ranks will be determined based on the following criteria (weightage will be given from top to bottom):

Ranking Rules

  • Rule 1 - The student who will get more marks in the Hardest question section will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 2 - The student who will get more marks in the Hard question section will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 3 - The student who will get more marks in the Moderate question section will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 4 - Students who will get more marks in the Easy question section will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 5 - Students who will get more marks in the Easiest question section will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 6 - Time taken by a student in completing the exam paper. The student who has taken lesser time will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 7 – Attempted questions by a student in completing the exam paper. The student who has attempted most question will get a higher rank.
  • Rule 8 - If two students get the same marks, the younger student will be given preference.
  • Selection of School, City, District, State Topper(s)

    • Rule 1 - The Student should get a minimum 60% marks in the examination.
    • Rule 2 - The Student must be a Class Topper for the current Exam.
    • Rule 3 - The Student must get the highest percentile in the current exam among all the class toppers.

In case of a tie based on the above criteria, the school performance (based on academic records) will be required and result will be declared after consideration of all the factors above.

Note: Each winner will be entitled to one award only. The winner will be entitled to the higher-level award only.

General Instructions

Please make sure you have a strong and trustworthy internet connection; if the connection is weak or likely to disconnect, we ask that you DO NOT ATTEMPT the examination.

Your current examination will cater you as much questions as it can. The examination is timed, and you must finish the examination within the time limit. Please keep an eye on the real-time Timer throughout the examination.

You will not be permitted to leave the Virtual Examination Hall once you have entered it without submitted the exam or time has elapsed (whichever is earlier). Timer ticking on the right top of your screen for the total duration of the examination. Please SUBMIT the examination within the time frame specified, otherwise the examination will be automatically ended.

The examination will be marked as attempted once it has commenced. You will not be able to rewrite or reappear for the examination.

You must follow the question-by-question flow as a standard practice however you can skip the question and come back to the question if would like to attempt.

If you lose connectivity, your examination will resume as soon as connectivity is restored. However, you will lose time while the connection is being re-established. For example, if you are in the middle of examination and lost the connectivity for 10 minutes during the exam, the total time lost is 10 minutes. The timer will continue running during the outage, and the examination will be submitted as soon as the allotted time is over.

You must not use unfair techniques to pass the examination; this can be detected, and if found you will be forcibly evicted from the examination window and no request will be entertained under any circumstances. Our platform is intended to validate the candidate's identity at any time throughout the examination.

The examination results will be declared on the given day and posted on the website. The top scorers of each class will be featured in the Result section and on the Wall of Fame page. Individual score performance may be checked in the results page after entering the Enrollment Number and the registered mobile phone number.

Each question is worth the same number of points, but the weight-age varies based on the question difficulty level (questions are classified as 'Easiest,' 'Easy,' 'Medium,' 'Hard,' & 'Hardest').

All of the answers to the questions on your examination papers will be available in the results section or may be obtained on demand.

To avoid problems, you should practise the examination before taking the final one.

We strongly advise you to avoid using calculators or log tables because the platform is intended to assist you develop your skills / talents in a real-time environment

Do NOT keep any book, notebook, calculator, any other device like mobile / tablet / IPad etc. near seating area.

Under no circumstances, you are allowed to leave the exam area during the examination.

Do NOT use headphone or Bluetooth device.

Do NOT press the F5 key or refresh the screen, while you are taking the exam, as it will terminate the exam.

Please make sure your face is visible at all times with enough light on your face.

Presence of any person other than the student during the exam in NOT allowed.

The exam is a time-sensitive and you have to complete the test within 60 minutes, the exam will automatically be submitted once the time is over.

Your timer will start once you see the question paper.

Once you start the exam you will not be able to pause or leave the exam in -between

You will not be able to take re-test

Each question may have 4/5 options out of which one or multiple are correct.

You have to finish the test in 60 minutes.

There is only 1 section in this test.

You will be awarded 2 marks for each correct answer.

There is negative marking for the wrong answer. You will lose 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

Questions unattempted will not be evaluated and no score (+ve / -ve) will be rewarded for such questions.
